The School of Emergency Management currently offers five undergraduate programs: Safety Engineering, Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Science and Engineering, Emergency Management, the Honors Program in Emergency Management (Xianheng International), and the dual-degree program in Emergency Management + Environmental Engineering.
Among these, the Safety Engineering program was included in the Ministry of Education's Excellence Program in 2012, recognized as a Jiangsu Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Program in 2020, and accredited by the Ministry of Education's Engineering Education Certification in 2021. The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Science and Engineering program is the first specialized undergraduate program in China established under the earth sciences discipline (Geophysics). The Emergency Management program was developed by transitioning the former key program of Public Affairs Management under the China Meteorological Administration and integrating resources from the nationally recognized first-class program in Administrative Management.
