The School of Emergency Management currently has 42 faculty and staff members, including 31 full-time teachers. Among them, 58% have overseas research training experience of one year or more, 61% hold senior professional titles, and 100% hold doctoral degrees.
The school has gathered a group of high-level talents recognized at or above the provincial level, including Academicians of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences, Academicians of the International Academy of Astronautics, National High-Level Talents (Category A), recipients of the Chartered Physicist title in the UK, National High-Level Young Talents, individual awardees of Jiangsu Provincial Major Talent Programs, team awardees of Jiangsu Provincial Major Talent Programs, Jiangsu Provincial Key Talent Recruitment Plan experts, and Jiangsu Provincial Outstanding Young Scholars.
In recent years, the faculty teams and individuals have received numerous awards, such as the National Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Class), the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Class), the Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award (Third Class), the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Science and Technology Progress Award (Third Class), the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences Young Scientist Gold Award, the Dayu Water Conservancy Science and Technology Award (First Class), and the Expert Award for Outstanding Contribution to the China-EU Dragon Program Project by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
